2a VICARAGE RAOD
Kings Heath Chamber Choir is open to more experienced singers aged 15 and above. This also includes adults!
Here, we will focus on new and timeless choral music, exploring modern composers such as Eric Whitacre, Elaine Hagenberg and Ola Gjeilo, lesser known masters like Amy Beach and of course pieces by famous grandees like Mozart, Elgar and Bach. This is a great place to discover the magic of more complex harmonies and to develop your choral awareness one step further. You will need to have some singing experience, whether through singing in other choirs or in singing lessons, but you do not need to be a confident reader as long as you are keen to learn. There is no specific requirement for entry as we recognise there are many different ways to learn to use the voice, but as a guideline, you should be of roughly Grade 5 standard or above.
There is a limit on numbers, so spaces are allocated at a first come first served basis. To register, please follow the links below. Once signed up, adults will receive a welcome email to confirm their place. For anyone under 18, their parent or guardian will be sent a permission form that will need to be returned before the registration is complete.
We hope to see you soon, either at a rehearsal or a concert!
