All Saints Centre Kings Heath

A purpose-built centre in the heart of Kings Heath, attached to the historic All Saints Church and fronted by the newly developed Village Square.

All Saints Centre needs your vote in the Lloyds Bank Community Fund

The All Saints Centre Children’s Fun Activities project has been shortlisted for the Lloyds Bank Community Fund 2014.  By encouraging the public to vote, All Saints Centre has a chance to be awarded a grant of up to £3,000 from Lloyds Bank to enable it to continue doing good work in the community.

The All Saints Centre offers a wide range of community facilities and activities in the centre of Kings Heath.  We run 3 main projects: A Youth Project with Mentoring Scheme and Family Support, The Robin Centre for Older People and a Stay & Play Group for the under fives.  The Centre opens onto the very vibrant award winning Kings Heath Village Square where we encourage all ages to take part in activities.  Regular Streetfood, Craft and Farmers Markets are held.  The Youth Project provides a youth worker on the square where table-tennis & other activities are available.  The Bubble fountains, Labyrinth and seating is an ideal setting for our proposed project All Saints Centre Children’s Fun Activities and will enable us to develop more children’s & family activities.

We plan to do more Play & Stay, some Craft and Music sessions and develop a regular weekly Children’s Munchkins Lunch Time session to encourage healthy eating for pre-schoolers.  The increased use of the Village Square will help us to publicise & promote commercial hire of this space.  More visitors to All Saints Centre will encourage more hirers and more use of the multiple services that we already offer.

The Lloyds Bank Community Fund will make a huge difference to All Saints Centre by enabling us to develop more children’s activities to be held on the new Kings Heath Village Square and inside All Saints Centre, making a difference to the lives of hundreds of children, young people and families in Kings Heath.  Please vote for All Saints Centre to benefit from the Community Fund award.

The Lloyds Bank Community Fund was set up to help local people across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man to have a positive impact at the heart of their community by giving grants to up to 1,400 local good causes in 350 communities.  There are four good causes shortlisted in each community and Lloyds Bank is inviting everyone to vote for the causes they’d most like to support.  Members of the public can vote for their preferred community group on-line, by SMS or Twitter, or in a branch of Lloyds bank from 2 September to 10 October 2014.  The local good cause that receives most votes in each community will receive an award of £3,000, with the other groups receiving £2,000, £1,000 or £500 depending on the votes received.

You can find out more about the Community Fund and All Saints Centre and cast your vote by visiting the Lloyds Bank Community Fund website at: www.lloydsbank.com/communityfund.

Voting for the 2014 Community Fund is open until Friday 10 October.
